These term and conditions apply to all transactions on the Balham Beds web site and in store. By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. Nothing in these conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Pricing and payment
We are very careful to ensure that all our prices are correct. However, if we on a rare occasion we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled, and will give you a full refund. Payment will be taken in full at checkout and all prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rates.
Preparing for furniture delivery
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate access at the point of delivery. If it is not possible to deliver the items due to a lack of access space we may have to apply a charge in order to take any items back into stock. In order to ensure this situation does not occur we ask that you follow these few simple steps to ensure a hassle free delivery. * Measure the height and width of any hallways and door accesses, as well as the entry clearance. * Check the dimensions of the furniture in order to ensure the items will fit. * Clear plenty of space to allow for the delivery and any packaging materials.
If your goods have not been delivered, other than as detailed below, we will refund the full price of the items. If you decide to cancel items (before delivery has taken place) that are bespoke, made-to-measure or have been specially ordered for you, it may be unlikely that we will be able to sell these at the full selling price to another customer. In these instances, we have the right to deduct a cancellation fee from your refund. Please note that this cancellation fee can be up to 75% of the value of the product. We will endeavor to avoid any such charges but in some instances this may be unavoidable.
Once an item has been delivered and signed for it cannot be returned unless it is faulty, in which case we will either replace the complete product or faulty parts. All our goods come with a minimum 1 year warranty against any faulty workmanship. In all cases however we reserve the right to inspect the product and to verify the fault. These guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear and changes in the natural characteristics of wooden products such as the movement of wood and painted products.
